In the second quarter of 2025, the hack and slash genre on Android in South Africa saw interesting trends among the top-performing apps. Here's a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Solo Leveling:Arise by Netmarble showed varied performance throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue began at approximately $1.2K and gradually decreased to around $537 by the end of June. Downloads peaked at 2.3K in early April, but saw a dip mid-quarter before rising again to 1.8K at quarter's end. Active users fluctuated, starting at 5.2K, dropping significantly, then recovering to 2K.

Legacy of Discord-FuriousWings by Yoozoo (Hongkong) maintained low but consistent revenue, peaking at $158 mid-May. Active users remained minimal throughout, hovering around 30.
